Leadership needs to figure out how to align better. It is hard to have a positive outlook on the company when there doesn't seem to be a cohesive strategy.

Thanks for your review. I agree that we have great team members at Health Catalyst! You are right to point out that we have had changes in strategic focus the last few years, and change can be difficult. We will continue to use our all team member meetings to strive to clearly communicate our company strategy, and the rationale or the “why” behind our strategic areas of prioritization and focus. This is an area of focus and emphasis for us as a leadership team right now, as part of the 2024 planning process, and we are developing and refining important stakeholder strategy updates for 2024 and beyond that we will also be sharing with you in our all team member meetings. Mission-Critical Engineering: The work involves complex data infrastructure that requires deep technical expertise. It can be demanding, but seeing these systems run successfully and support real-world operations is consistently rewarding.

Wage Compression and Retention Risk: Compensation for tenured and high-performing staff has not kept pace with the market for specialized data engineering and support leadership. In practice, tenure can feel undervalued or even penalized. This creates risk around losing institutional knowledge and operational continuity. Stagnant Career Progression: Contrary to stated expectations, strong performance ratings do not consistently translate into meaningful, market-aligned compensation growth. The process of how compensation is benchmarked lacks clarity in practice, obscuring how compensation decisions are made and what is required to advance.
