The company has had 3 layoffs this year. Nurses laid off and then hire in other parts of the company under a different job title to avoid breaking federal HR rules. Promotion from within is only minimal. Interviews encourage moving up in the company. I am more qualified than many managers yet passed over since I don't live in the region. All my managers have had to fly to get to my location for oversight. Really! About half of the Regional Managers don't live in the area they supervise. Clinical Care Managers are doing the job of 3 people which is part of all the layoffs and we got no raise for taking on all the extra job responsibilities. You have to be quiet to stay under the radar or a great person will get laid off.
