Horrible work colleagues. Lies about other staff members to get them to leave. Work was getting done but felt pressured to leave due to other staff members. It manager is less knowledgeable at setting up networks didn't know how to set a static IP for a printer on all 3 printers at a customer's site, think this was the start of the bullying. As I stated on the work ticket newly installed printers were set on DHCP, causing printing issues. He didn't like this. They add you to a chat for Saturdays which they message you on your weekends to either continue to work or get things ready for Monday. They say you don't need to but feels like you have to join the chat.

We did have to dismiss this employee for poor performance after 6 months of trying to help them. We understand they had a difficult family health situation and made huge allowances with extra time off. After some time they failed to respond to an improvement plan guided by a local, award winning HR company that we outsource our HR function to. We subsequently discovered the situation was identical at their previous employer. We have given the chance to many young people to start a career in IT, some have left eventually for more senior positions and we miss them. Others have gone from apprentice to Technical Director and Operations Director.

Lunch break is minimal 30 minutes only No office replenishment only cheap coffee No real HR department (questionable) No self time to relax for lunch. No self work management, always their way have to attend this training to control your workload but in their way. ( If you don't follow it's a displinary) Major stress level No one else picks up the phone or eyes are on you. Bad onboarding process. Uses old coded ticketing system which is redundant. No distancing from work life out of office life. (Makes you join a WhatsApp group where you feel obligated to reply to on weekends)

It's a pity when disgruntled ex-employees use a useful platform like Glassdoor to seek revenge. The employment dates and location don't seem match any of our employees and this seems to be a variation of the other pointed review below who we know. Helpdesq isn't perfect but we do try and we have a very open culture. Working in IT can be stressful but it can also be rewarding and fun if you put in the effort and join in with the team. Just to set the record straight our "cheap coffee" is a John Lewis bean-to-cup machine, usually with Italian blend beans from Waitrose or sometimes Bookers.
