Pluspunten
Hertz is a great start. Those who are motivated can benefit a lot from working at this corporation. Learning how to operate the business from the ground up in washing cars, upholding company standards and protecting company assets. You also gain valuable multitasking abilities, time management skills, communication and essential customer service skills. You also learn very tough and highly skilled sales tactics as well as building and retaining essential long term relationships with body shops and even coworkers that can carry over for a lifetime regardless if you stay at hertz or not. Those who work hard and have good college degrees can significantly boost their marketability and learn a lot from this corporation. Aside from the experience on resume and great coworkers you may work with, you could also develop a thicker skin in handling very unwelcoming customers that may be a very useful skill down your career. Another Pro working at hertz is that the high turnover would allow you to move up the company faster.
Minpunten
The hours and pay. The truth is this job for those who want to carve a career at hertz probably are not the most qualified. The pay and demanding nature of the job really rubs high quality employees the wrong way. They have very high sales expectation and metrics that only the most qualified and hardworking can meet, but the most qualified who can meet these metrics are not going to stay in the company long term and will just use this job as a great stepping stone. Due to the high turnover of this job and how the most qualified find better jobs, the upper management a lot of times are not the most qualified and best people. Within 4.5 months of working at this job, the first offer I got was significantly higher pay and less weekly hours than a branch manager salary which would take me another year at least to get. This definitely signifies that this job is not that desirable and only the ones who are either can not find a better job or unqualified stay.
