Minpunten
If you're not a transplant, your opinion and expertise will mean nothing to upper management. Employees are pushed to take on significant responsibilities and workloads (including supervisory roles) beyond their formal job descriptions. However, titles and salaries lag behind assignments by years, if they are ever updated. You will never receive more than a "Meets Expectations" during your annual review. HR works to protect the company rather than to provide any guidance or assistance to employees - for example, failing to process life events and leaving people uninsured. Once you fall out of favor with upper management, you'll be placed on a PIP only as a paper trail for dismissal. Feudal power struggles within senior management adversely impact team and project performance.
