Minpunten

Where do I begin with this review. Brace yourself as what I've experienced working here really deserves a chapter within a novel due to the colorful and comical nature. When I was on boarded back in 2017-2018 time frame, this company had roughly a 20 person headcount, now it's barely hovering at 10 and it's evident what has happened here. I had hesitations in joining a small company but thought I would give it a try; since what do you have to lose right? Well I was wrong! For those who just want to get the low down, management does not care about you, your well-being/health, your contribution and inspiration to new ideas, your design principals and intellectual property, or more important your individuality as a person and a dedicated employee - In their eyes, you are simply a cog spinning in a poorly oiled machine where processes and procedures are broken and changed on a weekly basis. Talk about being agile here but its really just organized chaos. The work is grueling and demanding, where deadlines are almost always nearly impossible because they do not give each team that's responsible in moving the product to production ready the necessary time to complete. Everything is just, finish asap, now now, or should have been completed yesterday. Leadership really does not understand product backlogs and sprint planning which is really the issue. In addition, work left unfinished at end of day which the entire team understands is pretty much impossible, instead of collectively helping to work towards a common goal, you are instead shamed in meeting or called out passive aggressively. Don't even think about making a mistake in this organization because I forgot, we aren't humans and for some reason the gravity of the situation when mistakes do happen is so much worse for everyone else except the VP. I can attest she is the root cause with poor leadership and misdirection. Having had the experience working at Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies in the past really allowed me to see the other side of the coin. It serves as a kind reminder for myself to never venture down these type of ego-centric and totalitarian style companies. Furthermore, the environment reminds me of grade school again where there is a heavy emphasis on being in a clique and if you don't suck up to the almighty "leader" sitting on her invisible golden unicorn, then you best be prepared to be driven over by the bus when things hit the fan. What exacerbates the situation is actually the owner and more concerning his son (the salesman) who turns a blind eye almost always and enables the VP to bully everyone and drive the business to the ground-like her other 3 failed ventures. Talk about moral compass, they have nil. If you were like me and thinking about going to HR about these concerns well I have news for you. Human resources in any organization should be the conduit between the employer and the employee to hash out any concerns and issues with impartial judgment; however, this is clearly not the case. You don't get an HR, instead you get a demeaning, condescending, unpleasant personnel who runs this organization like a sweat shop, checking if you are at your seat daily. She is your daily dosage of negativity and it would shock you to hear what comes out of one's mouth along with all the gossip she so enjoys as part of her job description. All in all, everything I have said is the truth and I want people to really read into it before considering for a role here. I wish that the reader will use his/her own moral judgement after you review the good and the bad of this company. I do want to point out one last thing here and its that the root of the cause is the owner not commanding his own ship and destiny. If he continues to enable unqualified so called 'VPs' run this company, there will not be one soon. There is no level of respect here and you get treated like a sweat shop worker. They downplay all the cons and make pretend everything is running smoothly when in reality, its like a revolving door here with so much churn when it comes to staffing.

Minpunten

- very little pay for intense turn overs - little - no room for growth - cannot wfh at all even though the CD is fully remote - the small company aspect can feel lonely day to day since you'll just be sitting at your desk until 6 everyday
