Minpunten
HubSpot was a fantastic company 2-3 years ago, but things have deteriorated under new leadership. The rise of middle management has led to micromanagement and a clear disconnection between individual contributors and leadership. Many valuable benefits, such as unlimited PTO in Europe, have been removed. A "high performance environment" now feels like an excuse for micromanagement, reduced personal care, and lack of recognition. Promotions and salary increases are often handled unfairly, with rules changing mid-game. The performance review process is poorly managed, overlooking talented employees. Creativity and innovation are stifled as micromanagement grows. Middle management often seems to have joined the company after everything was built, focusing more on extracting value from employees than contributing to growth or innovation.
