I know this because during my time there, I was asked to do the same because "it's a charity," so that somehow makes them beyond accountability. An incredibly toxic environment lead by scammers and liars. If you currently work there, leave as soon as possible.

Co-workers are nice and friendly.

More or less a sweatshop, won't help you grow career wise, better find something else to do.
