Good place to work - werkgeversreview PhD Student bij IFAE

Location, Barcelona, is my favourite European city. Good perks, especially if you are employed from external grant you get some courses for professional development offered by the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology. Top-notch computing infrastructure. Although I don't really have a boss, I truly like my "nominal" supervisor ! Attention diversity issues.

Most positions are fixed-term. Permanent roles are basically only for Spanish people, looking at their current staff members. Salary is not great.

It's a nice relaxed, spanish attitude research institution. It's strength is mostly in its cosmology, particle physics and astrophysics laboratories.

The other laboratories are not so well developed. Pay is not that great. No established networking environment for the PhDs in the university.
