I am currently an undergrad at Yale and interning at IFGfit was one of the best experiences I have had. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I had to work there this past summer. First, the leadership team was incredible: the CEO, COO, and VP were all very giving with their time and guidance. It was very horizontal in the sense that I had lots of exposure to these people. I literally sat in a desk right next to the COO and VP, had the opportunity to shadow them in meetings and phone calls, and felt that my ideas were very supported and heard. This kind of access to the higher-ups of company is a very special opportunity to have and I consequently learned so much from this. Second, I was given lots of responsibility. Instead of other internships where interns are commonly pigeon-holed and doing busy work, I had the opportunity to be given lots of responsibility as an intern like taking ownerships of projects and spearheading ideas I had. For example, I was able to help the company create and close several marketing deals with a broad range of influencers in many different industries. I also was able to conduct marketing research on a niche industry that I am personally invested and interested in. With this research I was able to think about strategies to target and penetrate the market. Third, the working environment was very supportive. The leadership team made a clear effort to create a positive, cohesive, and tight-knit work culture by taking us out to team lunches. Through these programs that were put in place, I had the opportunity to develop mentorships that fostered my academic and career interests. Furthermore, the team was extremely understanding and flexible with my work schedule when I had a family emergency. An incredible working environment both in terms of the people you are working with and the beautiful office space that is right across from one of the nicest malls in LA. Overall, I cannot emphasize how lucky I was to have an opportunity to intern at IFGfit and would highly recommend it to anybody I know. Not only is the work they are doing there revolutionary, but these people are good human beings. They are working extremely hard to help improve people’s wellness and lives. From my personal experience, it was quite exciting to see how their technology literally transforms people’s posture and the subsequent happiness they received from pain and tension relief. I took a lot out of my experience interning at IFGfit. Specifically, I came out of the summer learning hard skills like learning how to make a pitch to clients and spearheading marketing campaigns. Some of the soft skills I learned was how people in leadership positions create a collaborative and positive work environment by instituting mentorship and programs to foster personal growth. The skills and experience I gained from this internship will definitely be useful in many different career paths and as I grow as a person in general. Pitching and closing deals is an extremely useful skillset that will help me in careers ranging from finance to sports business management. I highly recommend IFGfit for both the incredible people that work there and the life-changing work they are doing there.

One thing that could potentially be improved is increasing the interaction between the two office locations because I genuinely liked everybody I worked with as they were kind and knowledgeable.
