The CEO and VP were very gracious in ensuring I got what I wanted out of the internship experience, which was a blend of research, marketing, and sales experience. While most internships only entrust interns with menial tasks, I was given full responsibility over my own project and was able to walk away from the experience with a research publication. The product IFG specializes in--posture-correcting athletic wear--is backed by both scientific research and fashion-forward design, which makes the product a unique and fun sell. Because this company is small, work can be fast-paced and vary quite a bit on the day-to day, which is an ideal environment for anyone who struggles to flourish in a boring, repetitive work environment. The work schedule offers a good amount of flexibility as well. There are certainly opportunities for advancement within this company, and in fact, a handful of the FT staff had started with the company as interns themselves. Most of the employees get along well with one another, and I had no trouble acclimating to the work environment even though I came from out of state. I never felt like I was "just an intern" during my experience at IFG. We had lunch as a team on both my first day and my last day which really made me feel like I was a part of the team. Overall my experience with IFG was vastly positive and I could confidently assert that anyone else with an open mind, eagerness for hard work, and passion for positively impacting others' lives would find the position equally fulfilling.

A handful of the employees didn't seem to be behind the larger mission of IFG, which in my mind brought the team as a whole down a little.
