The team culture at IFS truly stands out, especially within a sales organization. My team is extremely collaborative and genuinely supportive of one another, which is not something you often find in sales environments. There’s a strong sense of teamwork and shared success, rather than internal competition. Leadership is very approachable and hands-on. Even as a regional account manager, I’ve been welcomed with open access to leadership who are actively engaged and supportive in helping move deals across the finish line. That level of involvement and encouragement makes a meaningful difference, particularly for someone new to the organization. IFS also offers excellent flexibility and work-life balance. There is a high level of trust — whether it’s stepping away for a doctor’s appointment without needing to formally request time off, taking advantage of the unlimited vacation policy, or working from home. The flexibility to manage your schedule while still being accountable delivers a great balance between performance and personal life. Overall, the culture, leadership support, and flexibility make IFS a really positive and refreshing place to work.

Minpunten

IFS has a robust ecosystem of tools and platforms, which can make the onboarding experience longer than at some other organizations. There is a learning curve to become fully proficient across the different systems used in the sales role, so new hires should expect to invest time upfront to get ramped. The role is best suited for self‑starters who enjoy taking full ownership of their business. There is a strong emphasis on personal accountability — from go‑to‑market planning, to building a business plan, to developing account strategies. This is not an environment where success is hand‑held; individuals are expected to proactively pull together the resources, information, and plans needed to drive results. That said, IFS operates very much on a “run your territory like your own business” mindset. While that level of ownership can feel demanding for some, the upside is that IFS provides the tools, leadership access, and supporting resources needed to be successful for those willing to take initiative.

As a sales rep at IFS, you have a unique opportunity to disrupt the ERP, EAM, FSM and AI market by providing robust industry specific capabilities across each of these solution areas on a single platform that addresses a lot of the critical pain points customers have today with legacy/traditional enterprise software providers. IFS invests deeply not just in their platform but also in brand and marketing. This creates a lot of exciting opportunities to be relevant to your customers and prospects (i.e. Big Ten sponsorship and F1 Cadillac sponsorship). This is a good time to be a sales rep at IFS.

Minpunten

My biggest complaint is the recent turnover in leadership in North America. Created a period of uncertainty but has since stabilized for the most part. IFS has grown fast over the last few years. This obviously comes with some growth pains. For example, limited presales resources. IFS also needs to work on newer customer references. IFS has typically relied on the same customer references which are strong but it would be powerful to see new customer references emerging from some of the newer larger customers IFS has acquired over the last few years.
