Pluspunten

-Everyone is very down-to-earth and fun to work with. There are a lot of opportunities to connect during weekly lunch outings and quarterly company events, as well as day-to-day in the office, which has a relaxed atmosphere with lots of free drinks and snacks. -We’re growing quickly, which means an exciting environment with rapid changes that keep you on your toes and moving forward. -A highly engaged community that loves what we do. We make lots of people happy! -An effective team with a performance-driven culture. Everyone here is great at what they do and always working hard. -A very capable leadership team with strong backgrounds means a smart business model, executed well, and lots of learning opportunities. -The location in San Mateo is right across from the train station in a friendly, low-key part of town with lots of good lunch spots. -Occasional product giveaways for employees!

Minpunten

-The work-issued laptops aren’t great and cause a fair number of technical issues for people. - As with a lot of start ups, many need to log time on nights, weekends, and sometimes holidays to keep up with the workload.

Pluspunten

- Remote first - Kind coworkers - Fun brand

Minpunten

My entire career has been built on digital transformation/migration projects, but IPSY showed me a new kind of chaos. A very immature project management function coupled with constant rebrands, shifting priorities, and last-minute legal changes made it feel like they were trying to rebuild the car while it's already rolling downhill. Still a spreadsheet place. Product requirements constantly got buried in Slack. (Why are we so afraid of email?) Disjointed processes and minimal communication to contractors. (It's often the norm to treat contractors like secondary citizens, but most places will at least communicate info relevant to your job). Seems like a bad idea to lay off tech team members midway through a delayed transformation project.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear that our people and brand made a positive impression. We understand that transformation work can feel complex, especially in a fast-moving environment, and we’re continuously working to improve clarity, communication, and how we support all team members, including our contractor community. We appreciate your perspective and wish you the best in your next chapter. With care, – IPSY People Team
