This could be a fantastic company to work for, but unfortunately the cons far outweighs the pros here, often making it a miserable place to be. This company thrives on scare tactics to drive results and while it works for those who are likely indoctrinated, it doesn’t seem to be effective for those newer to the company and this can be proven by the high staff turnover rate typically seen amongst trainees. This is not a collaborative working environment, there have been many ridiculous comments made such as naming and shaming previous employees in staff meetings, brainwashing employees into thinking they can’t earn as much commission at other agencies, telling you sacrifices need to be made in recruitment when you would like to visit your family for a dinner at 7pm, and many more. It’s a very incestuous environment so if you are not used to colleagues doing what I can’t write on here with each other at work events/holidays this may not be for you. Be aware that the training period they tell you in the interview is completely inaccurate, and despite your performance you will likely be held back from earning any commission until the 5-6 month mark, potentially longer. Too much emphasis is placed on time spent at work rather than what you are able to efficiently manage in your contracted hours - resulting in employee(s) who thrive off messaging in the group chat that they are the last to leave at 9:30pm every day because a thumbs up reaction from the director in the group chat is what motivates them. Healthy competition in the office is great, however even if you are genuinely working hard and staying behind, you will likely be competing with certain individual(s) who will wait around watching tiktoks because they want to be last to leave every day as if that is what measures good performance. To add, you have a 45 minute lunch break for a 9 hour work day (contracted hrs), if a minute late in or from lunch you are forced to cover the phones all lunch time, and your main purpose as a trainee is to earn your manager commission while you make the bare minimum. There is also no sick pay which I think is very poor, and staying home sick is often frowned upon. You will also get virtually zero sales/BD training which, considering this is literally a sales job, exemplifies the logic and company direction you are dealing with here… it will be down to you to self learn which I happily dead, but even then progression will be based not on performance but whether your manager has a new trainee or there is a geographical patch available for you to take on
