Pluspunten
A friendly work culture, friendly people, a good salary, and decent benefits.
Minpunten
1. Stressful work environment due to mishandled project and bad team composition
2. Non-transparent management about future work and layoffs
3. Not good work-life balance
In short, be prepared to look elsewhere once the project concludes. Infinitive is a small firm, and people were laid off because there were too many on the bench. I would treat Infinitive as just a job. Ask questions early, before the project ends, about whether more work is guaranteed soon and how many people will be on the bench. If no work is guaranteed, and there are too many people on the bench, be prepared to look elsewhere.
Below is my experience. I signed on as a senior consultant for a six-month software development contract with one of their clients. Most of my work was traditional software engineering and not really "consulting" work. I was more like a contractor building features that the client had already planned out. I only had a task or two where I did research for the client and "consulted" them.
The biggest con was that management did not assemble the right team for this project. Out of a team of mostly senior engineers, only some of us were qualified for the project. This led to a stressful environment characterized by long workdays and taking on others' work.
