only a few brokers are put in a position to succeed, the same brokers get all the good leads and opportunities. You have to be on the good side of the person that hands out the leads or you are screwed. Granted, a lot has to do with the industry and how commissions have gone way down. This job is 100% commission, so if your good accounts blow up, your next pay check is going to be a fraction of the size and you have to get lucky with new leads. Also, when they changed there business model they attracted a lot of accounts that don't generate commissions. Unless you have a friend or family member that can refer you a bunch of good leads it is hard to make a living at this firm. Plus they make it really hard to take days off.
