Pluspunten
Overall, my experience at Infinity Marketing was very positive. However, experiences vary based on department, role, and assigned account(s). I would definitely recommend the company to young people beginning their careers or those who want to break into advertising (with a disclaimer that hours are generally long and pay generally low). Pros: * In general, owner and managers seem to genuinely care about employees. * Cheap health insurance (employee's nearly all covered). * Generous 401k. * Free cell phone service if on company plan, monthly stipend if not. * Monthly luncheons with option to leave early after. * Great parties (the Christmas party, in particular), access to free tickets (baseball, concerts, etc). * Friendly people, generally laidback atmosphere. Lots of long-lasting friendships outside the office. * Unlike EP, layoffs rare to non-existent. If your main client leaves, Infinity will assign you to another instead of showing you the door.
Minpunten
* *Long hours, low pay, can be very stressful** * High turn-over (see first bullet). * Some abusive clients (Comcast) * Unrealistic pressure to complete everything quickly, cheaply, and perfectly. Code word: "nimble". * At times, it seems management is actively trying to lose money when wooing new clients. * Depending on position, there's often no room for advancement unless you want to be a (very overloaded) project manager. * Family members managing family members. This leads to employees feeling unable to bring up issues because of family ties. *Some weirdness between upstairs (media planning and buying) and downstairs (creative and production).
