The work schedule there is really flexible, you can come early and leave early if needed, and you can run personal errands in the middle of the day, and you’ll have the options to use PTO, make up hours, or not get paid. The benefits are OK, 2-week PTO, paid holidays, plus 4 sick days; they also pay half of your own healthcare... I’ve certainly seen worse. Most of the people there are nice and easy to talk with. They hire people fresh out of college, so it’s really not a bad place to start a 1st job just to get some professional experience, considering the benefits. Last but not least, the coffee there is on point!
Minpunten
There wasn’t a system of growth at all. People who end up growing there are those chatty people that have the energy to get to know people from other departments (during work time) that make more money. You don’t get recognized for doing your job great. The President scheduled a 1-year anniversary review with me, but that never happened. When I talk with my previous supervisor about taking up more responsibility, he basically told me to look into it myself, and have other employees to coach me—of course other employees don’t have time to coach me because it wasn’t their job in the first place. Eventually both of the two people who interviewed me left the company earlier than I did. My pay was never increased, nor did anyone one mention it to me. At the exit interview I was told I should present myself in front of managers for growth opportunities. That’s just BS, but because I was leaving, I didn’t talk back but smiled. (I was promoted and had a pay raise of $4+ per hour in less than 6 months at my new job, and my boss did it without My mentioning it.)
