There is very little space to allow for FCMs to grow within the company. Most times a job listing is posted but it’s quite common they already have the spot filled but have to post the listing regardless. Also from a standpoint as an FCM, the only way to grow is into a DM position, but the opportunity doesn’t come around often. Plus the likelihood of them promoting you into a DM position is highly unlikely if you don’t have the “people management” experience.
