Pluspunten
People are nice. You can get promoted very quickly due to the high attrition and lack of available talent nearby. Not sure if that is a nice thing. Basically incompetent people get promoted to fill a void.
Minpunten
Top heavy management who scramble at the beck and call of a CEO who has no sense of direction. Even the C-levels have difficulty sticking around. I have seen the COO acting both as COO, CFO and CPO. You know something is not right when they leverage one man to do the jobs of three. Instead of investing in talent and developing great products, they invest in trying to make mediocre products look world class (not everything is "leading" and "state of the art"!) They have no clue how to grow. IMO, they have reached a plateau after growing very rapidly in the start. Hardly any new innovation. Unfortunately this takes a toll on hourly or full time employees as the company goes through an annual lay-off (almost like a ritual). Product managers have no real sense of product management. Then again, it is hard to recruit talent if compensation is so abysmal. They have come with a fancy slogan of INSPIRE standing for (Integrity, Nimble...). They fail on all of them. In two years of going public they got into trouble with the SEC and faced lawsuits (not sure if it was intentional or purely incompetence). I can go on and on. There are two many. It is hard to believe they have survived for so long. I guess they must be riding the momentum of early growth or doing something right.
