If you just got out of technical school, community college, or the military; this is the place to work. Low hiring standards makes it easy to get a job that is in your field. The people were a lot of fun, the NOC could be an animal house, mean spirited comments and insults hurled, but its all in good fun.

Low pay. Low pay, Low pay, Low pay. This issue was repeatedly brought to management, and routinely ignored. There was a Sr. Manager brought in to try to turn around the client base leaving. He reportedly asked for more pay and was shut down. Techs were always asked to be patient and the money would come, it never did. Director level and up did not care about what happened in the NOC, so long as the money flowed. Managers from other groups would come in and tell techs what to do. Rank-and-File Supervisors and Manager were more or less powerless. Blame-game was the paradigm of the day. Everything was someone else's fault and staff was trained on that from day one. Health insurance went from bad to worse when Insight stopped picking up the premium on their high-deductible plan. 401k match was about average, but not what you might expect from a Fortune 500 company. Time off was difficult to schedule as the shift had to be covered by somebody, some supervisors refused to do that work, would instead make the requester find a back-fill.
