Pluspunten
My work-life in the 11 months I've been with the IDF have been quite unique. Having owned my own business for more than 9 years, I enjoy seeing that the IDF team has an owner's mindset meaning that my colleagues take responsibility for their work, which is quite unusual (in the positive sense). Being a part of a high performance team is a privilege and I feel that I have learned new skills and new ways of cooperating, something which I can use both in professional life as well in my personal one.
I also enjoy the team trip that we've just come home from. Given my background, it made sense that I was the right person to organize the trip and it was a pleasure to see how everybody came together and got to know each other, which is very refreshing, since we are all usually doing remote work from our homes.
During the team trip, there was one time at a restaurant, when people were laughing so hard that tears were rolling down their faces. It's really unique to have a company culture where people have so much fun together and are so committed to our mission at the same time.
Minpunten
At the beginning it was difficult to adjust to the fact that my colleagues were merely faces on Skype calls. Having met them in Budapest made it a whole lot easier to connect with them and appreciate their warmth and professionalism.
