Pluspunten
-The offices are nice, in good locations and the free lunch is a nice perk -Initial pay is above average -GSKO is in Dublin usually -The people are genuinly great and I enjoyed working with them -Heard engineering/product has a pretty good setup and culture. -Often made good business decisions when it came time to pivot, started early on the AI wave. -Product is strong and I think that Intercom is definately poised to win, or will at least capture signficant market share. -Middle management is hit or miss. Some of the best, most competent employees and some of the worst micro managers who would often shield themselves with their own ICs. -Des, Dan Griggs and Paul Adams are solid but the rest of the exec team is questionable.
Minpunten
-GTM is to blame for every problem, its never engineering or product. At times it felt downright hostile -You will waste years of your career here. They do not promote from within and would rather have good talent leave and hire externals for reasons I never understood, I saw it time and time again. Before I left I saw some of the strongest & most liked managers being passed over for no discernable reasons which led to them all leaving. -Raises are a joke. -Unreasonable expectations, encouraged to work after hours and on weekends. -Extremely toxic CEO. Check out his twitter before you buy his PR stories also keep in mind that at times Intercom has been negatively impacted by his shenanigahans. -I'm not sure if they've improved but the President at times seemed to not have a real strategy in mind or would pivot constantly which caused a lot of false starts and confusion.
