Interview was fast...now I know why.
Minpunten
To say my experience at IDPR was terrible wouldn’t even scratch the surface. While there are some great people there sprinkled throughout the organization, the company is mismanaged from the CEO, down and is full of toxic employees. Be prepared to be belittled, micromanaged, talked down to, and God forbid you have an idea or suggest something new – it will fall on deaf ears and you’ll be hung out to dry as insubordinate. I’ve never seen an organization with such a low collective EQ. Your local kindergarten is likely better at conflict resolution than this joke of a company. Not only will every minute of your day be held under scrutiny, be prepared to be excluded from key meetings if you’re on an account and you’ll learn along-side the client. If you have any issues, concerns, or suggestions you’re better off keeping your mouth shut or you put a target on your back. You’ll be asked to write emails on behalf of your “people leaders” just for them to send it out under their name as if it’s their own, your pitches will be critiqued as you’re typing the sentence (not exaggerating or kidding), and if you’re not a part of the original team you’ll forever be the outsider. You can COMPLETELY FORGET your job description as you’ll soon take on the work others don’t want to do, you’ll be given an un-attainable time line to finish it, and then they’ll site “performance issues.” Turnover is high (you’ll see hundreds of open positions online). The pay and benefits are sub-par, with no 401k match. Clients are leaving in droves. Save yourself MASSIVE headaches and stress and pointless, un-fulfilling work. Saying goodbye to this organization was the single best thing I ever did for myself and my career.
