Pluspunten

Fast paced, high stakes, so much to learn. CEO is super busy and it upped my game. She is expects quality work but is kind and is someone you can bring your own feedback to. Together, we got into a rhythm that worked for us. Nobody is perfect but she really felt like she had my back. Really great MD as well!

Minpunten

It’s a small company and you something have to figure things out on your own. There are a lot people who have been in the mix for a long time so there are folks to ask, but I wouldn’t say it’s a place for someone who needs predictability and structure. I’d only been at big companies before and that was an adjustment. Lots of time zones to manage w a team that is everywhere.

Pluspunten

- The roster of clients is absolutely amazing. Their website / IG presence doesn't do the client / project list justice. For folks who want to "work" their progressive values, IH is a place to consider doing that. It especially helps on the busy days to know you're at a place that is working every day towards making the world we inhabit a little better, alongside partners who aim to do the same. - IH hires brilliant people (FT and contractors) from all walks of life. It is the most diverse group of people I have ever worked with (and not just racially diverse). Colleagues are really supportive of one another -- both during trying personal times and when someone's wins need to be celebrated. - The CEO is one of the most impressive people I've ever had the pleasure to work with -- and I've worked alongside her for 5 years, on and off. She's brilliant, relationship-oriented and works just as hard as any of her employees. She is in active learning to become a stronger leader, manager and mentor every day, and I give her credit for that. - IH works very hard, top-down, to live their values as a company; as well as to honor their employees and meet their needs. That does not mean being staffed on their projects is a cake walk, but it does mean you're treated like a human first, every day. In the rare (though vocal) cases where that does not happen, it's not for lack of trying on Invisible Hand's part -- sometimes hires just don't work out for legitimate reasons and there's a clunky inelegance to that process no matter where you work

Minpunten

- Like many start-ups maturing into growth stage, Invisible Hand experiences growing pains here and there in all of the expected areas -- real-time staffing for project needs, smoothing out / establishing, operational processes, etc. From what I'm privy to, the CEO and mgmt team are aware of all of the opportunities for improvement and actively working to address them. The reality is (and I know this having worked at several start ups -- some successful, some unsuccessful) that these things take time, and the right people at the table understand that, and can roll with the punches. Working at a start-up and in a fast-paced environment is not for everyone -- and certainly not for the faint of heart. And that is perfectly okay. However, I don't think IH is unique in these challenges. Prospective employees should ask candid questions, be frank about their needs and expectations and evaluate fit as honestly as possible. That's a win for everyone.
