There is certainly a lot to learn.
Minpunten
Clarification is needed on a few topics. Firstly, the room that housed the High Powered laser equipment, which on occasion does catch the material on fire, did not have a fire detector/ alarm in it when I started working there. They do not have consideration for the constant movement/standing of the staff, i.e. another employee had to bring in their OWN mat to stand on for 5+ hours every day, as none were provided. There is NO MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) Binder for any of the raw materials or components involved in the manufacture of their products, (Including the foam, which is heated and exudes fumes and smoke.) There is also no eye-washing station, and the first aid kit is a joke, only replenished upon reminder by whoever did the inventory at the time. This kit had band-aids, years-old alcohol swabs, and two ancient sealed boxes for I think 'major wound bandages' and itch cream. There is no guard on the table saw - which isn't an actual table saw, but a jury-rigged hand saw attached to a (I kid you not) ping-pong table. Not to mention the feeling of danger for many of the female employees. Regardless of intention, inappropriate behavior on the CEO's part is NOT conducive to a safe work environment, and likely the reason their turn-over rate is so high. For example, he humped a woman's car (an employee) thinking it was funny, when they were the only two at the office at that time. That is NOT OK.
