Mid tasting coffee, knowing the recipes, older customers coming to talk to you.
Minpunten
When I first started working at Java house, I expected it to be a fun experience but unfortunately I was met with terrible expectations. Management will basically suck every hour of you working for two weeks and then fire you or reduce your hours. I was baited to work at the location I applied for, had the interview there, but after I signed the contract moved to a whole different location across town. You have to be able to do some heavy bootlicking to do any moving up in the company. Barista starting pay is 10/hr, shift lead is 13/hr, tips shouldn’t be promise because tips vary based on the day and customer. It was also a pooled tip and it was based on how many hours you worked. So it was barely worth much. Retail pays more than Java house. Java house locations continually have health department violations and management doesn’t even want to fix it. Gnats, rodents, and other pests. Even on the food in the display. Haven’t got a clue where the supply chain is. Owned by the Splenda company so I am unsure if the coffee is even ethically sourced. The coffee could be already artificially sweetened.
