KC Distributing in Owen Sound is a really great place to work. The turnover of employees is very low and many employees have been here for more than 15 years. I like that the owner is open to listening to input from all employees. If there is an issue or you have an idea you can talk directly to the president. The company offers a very competitive salary, job security, RRSP program, company uniform, awesome Christmas party and other employee events throughout the year. KC Distributing promotes from within. A shining example of that is the current owner. He started here over 20 years ago as a delivery driver, advanced to receiving, then the parts counter, assistant manager, general manager and now owns the company. The operations manager and some of the counter people also started as drivers and worked their way up through the company.

People that work hard are rewarded with promotions and better pay. If you don't apply your skills and do little beyond your job description then your pay cheque and your career will reflect that.
Because the company doesn't have an abundance of staff the work hours are not very flexible.
There is room for improvement in communication between departments.
