Pluspunten

Average salary, global company. Benefits and 401K. Generally hires people of average experience level, so if one is a talented professional, it is easy to get ahead.

Minpunten

Company is an amalgamation of various poorly-connected business units, some of which have dubious future and profitability. The company is Finnish, which means squishy sense of leadership and direction. Scandinavians prefer to have roundtable talks, with little in the way of decisions. The company also has a substantive German element, which is not happy to be subservient to anyone else on earth, and delights in telling other global business units how to do things. The American HQ in Atlanta (depending on which business unit one asks) goes through cycles of centralization and decentralization, but that is company-wide. For example, centralized shared services centers were built in Barcelona and Holland to handle all Euro business, but just two years later closed down and laid off everyone so a new central hub could be built in Poland with cheaper labor.

Pluspunten

The processes are some of the best and well aligned that I have ever seen in any other company that I've been at. The business is straight forward, uncomplicated and easy to understand how it works. Even when issues arise, they are relatively easy to solve. SAP is a big part of what makes the processes here so straightforward.

Minpunten

The managers (specifically in supply chain) absolutely ruin the experience of working here. I'm not sure that real leaders (directors, VPs, etc) know how their smaller managers act towards everyone else. It's hard to believe the people in these manager roles were actually hand selected to manage other people when they probably can't even manage their own households. They only thing they're really good at doing is intimidating their subordinates, taking behind their back, and making them feel alienated.
