Fantastic place to start right out of college. You will be able to build a large network of people. You will learn various new skills since people have to wear multiple hats due to being overworked. Work/Life Balance You will be able to get in at 8:30 and leave at 5:00. You won't get promoted that way, but no one gets promoted anyway so just punch the clock. Free Soda Machine Get as much as you want. No strings attached on that one. Holiday Week Off Christmas or News Years week off is pretty nice. Followed by you have 10 PTO/Sick days for the year. So enjoy that holiday break.
Minpunten
#1 2015-2016 Goal They listed improve the financial bottom line. Seriously? #2 2015-2016 Goal Employee engagement. Yep, that is par for the course listing your employees 2nd. Upper Management You never see these guys. Some are in Chicago and others just don't make their faces known. It is a huge miss from what we had a year ago when they were actually trying to turn this place around. Middle Management Most of these guys/gals will actually care about you as a person, but they have no actual power to do anything positive for your career. Unfortunately some of them might tell you otherwise to entice you to stay. PTO PTO for anyone working there less than 5 years is terrible at 10 days pto/sick. Insurance Insurance got worse this last year (helping that bottom line) Dental even got lowered on the quality of coverage Standard Office Items They down graded their coffee that is free to employees before I left. So everyone had to start buying and bringing in their own coffee makers, coffee, and K-cups. Game room is listed as a perk, but you won't have time to use it. If you do you will be a slacker. If you need good office supplies or monitors or even a chair you literally have to wait for someone to quit and claim their stuff. Not kidding. 2015 Reviews and Raises This was the snowball in my opinion. After change upon change the company average raise was below 4%. HR did a horrible job promoting this as performance based raises when really it was barely even a cost of living raise to cover insurance changes. If you had a great year with no negative marks your raise was still garbage. Promotions They hang this over employees heads since most people are younger and working hard to get more money. The New Name Weeks after recovering from the raise announcements employees were invited (required) to attend an all company meeting at Sporting KC Park. Upper management announced a new brand for the company. How did they chose this brand you ask? They said that an outside company was paid to help them come up with the name. Could have used that money for raises and asked your talented staff to come up with new brand ideas! Cubicles They are not cubicles they are 6 person pods. So each pod has 6 desks in it. If you hate the people you sit with your job will be that much more fun. Shocked by the Reviews on Glassdoor Either current staff/management are posting positive reviews to help with recruiting or more people are asleep to what is going on there than I thought. OPM Division Sinking thousands of dollars into this part of the company trying to mirror what some of the current upper management did at their last company. From all the updates I ever heard it seems like a huge cluster. CEO Response to My Review Don't say I should have come talked to you. You were hardly ever in KC and it would have done nothing but anger my bosses that I went straight to you with problems. Clearly noted concerns were not getting to your desk or you weren't doing anything with them. You will say that you guys are trying hard with employees, but the place sucked to work at. Investment Company Keypath Education is owned by an investment firm. When investment firms want there money back what do you think happens? 1. Budget Cuts 2. Poor Raises 3. Stop back filling positions 4 Reduce spending anywhere possible 5. Layoffs (maybe someday?)
