For example, close family members of the upper management are working in recruiting and operations which sometimes made employees hesitant to raise concerns or give candid feedback. Also created a feeling of double standards when It comes to delegating work - Transparency around hiring and internal opportunities could be improved

We want to clarify that yearly layoffs are not common at our organization. 2024 was an anomaly driven by unique business circumstances, and it was an extremely difficult decision. Layoffs are never easy, and one thing we are proud of is how many boomerang employees we have welcomed back over the years. During the 2024 restructuring, our goal was to bring back as many team members as possible when opportunities reopened. As we hire, it will always be based on the needs of the organization and the requirements of each role at that specific time. Great coworkers, remote work, and decent benefits

Minpunten

Lack of strategy by senior management on growing current client base. Kinetix is very much a delivery culture over a sales culture. Because of this lack of focus on client growth, there have been lots of layoffs and instability over the past couple of years. Another con is that the CEO does not believe in giving raises so salaries are stagnant even in good years.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to voice your experience and we’d like to add some clarity to a few of the points you mentioned. Delivery has been a core focus of Kinetix for more than 20 years. As our business has grown and evolved, sales have naturally become a bigger focus so we can continue supporting our clients and our employee’s long term. This is something we’re always evaluating, and our CEO is very hands-on and personally invested in our sales efforts. We also want to clear up any concerns around layoffs. Layoffs are not common at Kinetix. In 2024, external business challenges led to some difficult decisions, but as the business has rebounded, we’ve been excited to welcome back several former employees and add new team members as well. When it comes to compensation, while base salary increases don’t happen every year, we do annually look at compensation as a total package. We’ve made a conscious effort to absorb rising healthcare and benefit costs, so those increases don’t come out of employees’ take-home pay. We also review market data and benchmarks annually to ensure our pay remains competitive. Compensation and benefits are areas we take seriously and continue to revisit to best support our team.
