Pluspunten

- Decent pay for fresh grads - Friendly colleagues - ample opportunities to learn and explore for SVC Engineer Role

Minpunten

•During the interview, the supervisor did not clearly state that he expected new employees to learn quickly after just one demonstration. This lack of upfront communication could have helped new hires better align with his expectations and possibly avoid later frustrations. It might be beneficial for him to hire individuals with more experience in this field, as he seemed to struggle with effectively teaching or training newcomers. • The trainer often seemed impatient and inflexible with teaching methods, responding dismissively to questions and doubts. His approach was rigid, relying solely on demonstrations. When I suggested using various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, he dismissed my idea, insisting his way was the standard and implying my suggestion was unreasonable. While demonstrating tasks is important, actual execution by learners can lead to questions and challenges, as watching a task and performing it are quite different. • On several occasions, the trainer's frustration led to comments that I found insulting, questioning my abilities and skills despite my qualifications. For example, he once asked, 'Honestly, did your agent instruct you to deceive so that you could get into the job?' This comment was particularly distressing and made me feel unfairly judged. • Although the company promised comprehensive training, the sessions felt one-sided, with little room for questions or support. The trainer often responded to clarification attempts with disdain, sometimes asking if it was necessary to ask or dismissing questions as 'stupid.' This approach created a discouraging environment, especially for newcomers who naturally need guidance and support. •The trainer informed management that I was not suited for the role, which led to my contract being terminated without discussing my progress or the circumstances leading to this decision with me. This appeared to be largely influenced by the trainer's significant influence within the company. Despite being in training for only two days, he quickly judged me as unfit for the position. Although I was on a three-month probation period to prove myself, I was terminated within one week. •Whenever I made a mistake, the trainer's responses were often harsh and critical. When I tried to explain or provide context, he accused me of being defensive and instructed me to remain silent, without justifying my actions. Overall, the company offers decent pay for fresh graduates, and colleagues from other departments were warm and friendly, making it a great place to work in many respects. The role of a service engineer provides ample opportunities to learn and explore. However, my experience with training in the sensing department was disappointing and adversely affected my mental health.
