I was shocked to find out that after years of loyal service I provided this company, none of my ex-supervisors who I had positive professional relations with were willing to fill out a reference sheet for me for a new job.
This is of course, optional, but considering the professional departure and strong work ethic I maintained while working here I was quite disappointed.
I tried to stay with the company through another position, but after the initial interview I was ghosted for months so I moved on.
I guess when they say they’re there for you, they mean with the exception that you’re still working for them.
