Pluspunten
-Great work environment. The fellow employees are very kind. The CEO is just as much generous as is stern in order to get the best out of the employees. -In order to compensate the lack of a senior engineer, CEO will be helping you with years of experience and from their own interest in the design aspect. Since you are on your own, you are able to conduct your own research. Just personally, since I was attending school at a polytechnic, I was able to use what I learned and apply it immediately, thus helping reinforce the knowledge I attained in school. -For a startup product development company, they seem to take on quite a few products. The reasoning for this was that when you are left waiting for samples or replies from the manufacturers or vendors, then you are left doing nothing and it is better to be working on something than be wasting time. This has its own pros and cons, but I saw this as being efficient.
Minpunten
For an engineer, having guidance from a senior engineer is very valuable in an internship. You will not get that here. If you are going into this internship looking for money, then you best look elsewhere. The CEO is very direct about this, in that your payment is primarily in the experience. At least while I was interning there, the building was next to a cemetery and had a sort of cheap feel to it, especially when the building next door was much fancier. This fancier building was where the interns gathered to either buy their meals or bring their meals to eat during their breaks.
