From the Vice Presidents down to Senior Economists, this quickly changes and you learn that this is a great place to work if you don't have or expect to have a life outside of work. If you are not willing to make your co workers your only friends and family, your time there will be hell. Too many middle and micro managers that play favorites to the extreme.
