Pluspunten
As others have mentioned, lots of yummy foods and snacks. Dogs and drinks at work. Regular happy hours outside of work. Very laid back atmosphere - think jeans and t-shirts. When I tell people I work here, they are a bit jealous (my friends seriously want to work here). So there is a good LearnVest vibe out in the world. And I for one, think it's pretty awesome to work for a company started by a woman like Alexa whose passion is contagious. In being here, I really feel like I'm making a difference / helping people with their finances - a goal of mine to work for a company that I really believe in. Post acquisition, I like that there are more systems in place - for raises, bonuses, reviews, vacation time. I know a lot of people see the acquisition as negative but big picture, it is going to help the company reach more people faster and this is ultimately a good thing despite growing pains! Lets not forget there is a graveyard of start ups out there, this is one of the *lucky* ones.
Minpunten
Despite newer bigger better office space, we need more conference rooms! And more glass booths to make phone calls. The company is really growing and it would help to have some way (org chart with pics?) to figure out who is who without craning your neck to look for name tags. Onboarding could be a bit smoother (though the drink cart is genius), this is a really good chance to make a good lasting impression. Last, it seems that one of the reasons NM fell in love with LearnVest in the first place is because we are a company full of smart people and because we have things like dogs at work and beers in the fridge. So please make sure to honor smart people, dogs at work and beers in the fridge!
