Minpunten
The company has significant challenges when it comes to work-life balance, employee autonomy, and overall efficiency. Most people in sales seem burned out and unhappy. A major factor is the level of oversight: there’s an unusually high degree of micromanagement, combined with constant reporting cycles that make it feel like you’re always up against a deadline.
There are multiple layers of leadership, and expectations tend to cascade downward, often landing heavily on sales. As a result, there's no time to execute a strategy for your territory. Instead, a large portion of time is spent responding to internal requests, updates, and process-driven tasks. The environment can feel overly prescriptive, with detailed direction on how to approach conversations, who to engage, what to prioritize, what to say. Weekly pipeline reviews are standard, but they often feel more like exercises in upward reporting than meaningful support. A substantial amount of time is also dedicated to maintaining CRM data and navigating internal processes, which can be cumbersome.
Work-life balance is a concern. You don't see many sales employees with actual work life balance, which is concerning. Additionally, things shift quickly, so the position you accept may become something else.
