Broken communication chains between CEO & VP level and rest of the business. Most employees can and do come to work and surf the internet for 75% of their day and get away with it. Once hired it's very difficult to be fired. This may sound like a Pro, but if you want to advance your career you will find that most employees have given up or never tried to work hard, and it will demotivate you. Lazy employees who under-perform and are never penalized breed laziness in even the most determined and passionate employees over time. Currently, the company culture is highly resistant to firing or laying off employees. Good or bad, depends on what kind of employee you strive to be.
