Pluspunten
Talented people make this company a great place to work. For the most part, everyone you come into contact with is willing to lend a hand or point you in the right direction. People behind the scenes are brilliant despite having to pass off their work to people who don't know what to do with it, or break it. These days benefits in general are hard to find. LexisNexis is old style in their package offerings but every year you're being urged to go with another provider or change up something else. Still, I have no real complaints even though I know of other companies offering much more attractive benefits. Simple to use products. There's really nothing to using them, and the company makes oodles of profit that they use to throw department get togethers, meetings, parties, etc.
Minpunten
The compensation is inequitable. From base salaries to variables to bonuses to increases, I soon got the feeling many were either "in the know" or tossed into the "left to wither" groups. Favoritisim is rapant and what's bothersome is it's out in the open. Those who are favored don't see it and that's unnerving. The bright wrapper LexsNexis puts forth to the world is also bothersome. They spent many dollars on rebranding some time ago but the company and its products today are disjointed and unappealing. Tell someone who owns a business to call our main number from the website and find someone to talk to about their risk mitigation needs. If it happens at all, it might be after a week of calling, transfers, dropped calls, wrong departments and utter ignorance. The face of LexisNexis is bizzare. There is a clear line break between every segement of the worker bees here. Only certain people can talk to certain departments, only people with direct access to senior managers can bring new ideas to the table and the distribution of accounts every year is saddening. Talk about the have and the have nots! There's plenty on both sides here!
