As others have said leadership is a tight circle of bros. Your performance and experience are directly related to who your manager is and overall vibes. Eng leadership too weak to fix the codebase and rewards those who talk big over people who are actually delivering projects. Competitors are sailing past while leadership is floundering on direction.
