I finally got over my initial bitterness of being 'let go' and decided to post my honest opinion: I used to love working for Littlefish and this was mainly due to amazing, supportive colleagues. Everyone was eager to help and you could always count on a friendly chat and harmless banter. The company was open to new ideas and technology and has a proven record of providing extremely high quality service. The contract wins, especially within Central Government, made you feel like you are on a winning team. Growing company, great future, great brand story, fantastic potential.
Minpunten
So what went wrong? I reacted really badly to being micromanaged and couldn't stand 'know-it-all' attitude of some members of Senior Management. All my ideas and proactive actions were eventually criticised and frowned upon. For example, I created this Glassdoor page (You're welcome) and management wasn't happy as they possibly anticipated the negative feedback that was coming their way. (What does that tell you abut the management?) I created employee survey and presented the findings to the management. As far as I know they had a meeting about it but the issues were never addressed. They seem like they care, but really they care about margins and performance, not people.(#peoplematter LOL I use to believe in it myself but then realised it's really profit and customer that matter.) Want proof? I pestered management for an annual performance review and when it finally happened I was told I should disregard last year for one reason or another (?!). I received almost no praise for any of my projects but nitpicking there was plenty. From an employee who was championing the company and was proactively driving new ideas, I became miserable, engaged, stressed and my performance was affected. So they got rid of me (Rightly so - did me a favour).
