Pluspunten

Decent pay, nice new station and studio, nice fully-stocked breakroom and the bathrooms are always really clean. Market 16, doing well in terms of ratings.

Minpunten

Terrible staff with bad attitudes. New employees aren't taught anything and left to fend for themselves. They hire kids straight out of college to do experienced work. Vicious and toxic work environment. People have cried. There's lots of yelling and fighting. You're forced to do every one else's job. Your job is always threatened. The scheduling is a nightmare with days off spaced out during the week. Your vacation days wont be given to you when you wish to take them. Lots of the lesser known anchors/reporters are rude. Badly understaffed.

Pluspunten

Cutting-Edge Stack: Opportunity to work with enterprise-grade gear (Nexus 9K, Firepower, Cisco UC) in a real-time, zero-downtime environment. Mission Critical Work: Your contributions directly impact the station's ability to stay on-air, providing a high sense of professional accomplishment. Dynamic Pace: No two days are the same; excellent for engineers who enjoy troubleshooting complex, multi-layered issues (Network, Cloud, and Broadcast).

Minpunten

Reactive Culture: The current "break-fix" mentality prioritizes immediate fire-fighting over proactive architecture, stalling the adoption of automation and long-term stability. Siloed Excellence: A traditional culture that fosters individual "territories" rather than a collaborative Agile environment; this can lead to technical elitism and prevents effective knowledge sharing. Feedback Void: A lack of consistent performance metrics or structured communication from management, leaving engineers without clear indicators of success or areas for improvement.
