Really expensive area. My lab was really toxic, and MIT really doesn't do anything. There had been really ugly problems before I came, but I didn't ask the right questions to know coming in. It was really bad while I was there, and I changed my career choices to quit. Make sure your lab is not toxic before you come to MIT because the place will do nothing. This is especially bad for women and minorities: white men run the place.
