Minpunten
What has happened to MITRE in the last 18 months is very troubling. Horrible department and division management across the board. (Some pockets of good management) As long as news was positive, management functioned. When issues arose, department management, in general, does not have the skills to deal effectively with conflict. They are chosen based on politics, not on skills, and given no or limited training. Management seems to spend their days in meetings, with their doors shut or out of the office with no communication. Thus rumors start, employees have no official answers, and morale sinks. Employee behavior that is praised in one employee, is punished with another. There is a lack of consistency in how the "rules" are applied. For a large company, human resource policies not in place or created "on the fly" to deal with issue of the day. Human resource department not trained or professional for the most part so they are no assistance to management or employee.
