Pluspunten

Getting exposure to working with Procter & Gamble brands and big budgets. Use it as a stepping stone.

Minpunten

Flex PTO is code to get you to feel guilty about taking time off - there's always someone counting exactly how many days you're taking off in comparison to others and gossiping around it. The CEO did not believe in working from home until she was forced to let her employees do so due to the pandemic. They'll be rushing to get you back in the office in no time if they haven't already. Once you're fully onboarded/trained you'll be doing the same tasks over and over again and only those in the CEO's inner circle get to do strategic work or get more face time with clients. The inner circle people are also the only ones who move up even if they constantly miss deadlines, do low quality work and get your accounts in trouble. You won't have any support from a manager because they're constantly switching managers around, also most managers have no managerial training. If you like taking time off in the summer, forget about June and plan on working until 11PM every day that month because it's P&G's end of fiscal year and you suddenly have to execute campaigns that would normally take 8 weeks in a matter of days. Pay is below average. Good luck getting a raise. Culture is fake and clickey. Most of the people who were there a year ago have left to other places.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We take great pride in being a people-first employer and always try to learn and grow from the criticisms and advice we receive. My role as HR Director is entirely people centric and I'd like to share some updates with you re: some of the changes we have implemented: PTO: we encourage all employees to take at least 20 days of PTO per year. Additionally, we have added summer Fridays, enhanced our company holidays and added other additional closures. It is not limited to time of year, so employees are free to take PTO at any time. Leave Policy: we launched fully paid medical and parental leave for all. Remote Working: we recognize work from home is here to stay and flexibility is important for everyone. While we invite employees to come to one of our office hubs up to two times a week, it is completely voluntary. In fact, we have employees all over the country, many that are not within commuting distance to an office at all. Career Pathing: we launched a career pathing program, management training module and conduct individualized career discussions with all employees. We provide tools such as LinkedIn Learning to support those efforts. Salary Planning: we review all salaries annually and have adjusted our salary bands to reflect the changing market. Above all, I am disappointed to hear of your negative experience at MMI, and please know that we have taken your feedback to heart and will look to learn from it. If you are open to discussing any of the other feedback, please reach me at Lauren.Scotton@MMIAgency.com.

Pluspunten

- Nice building, good location in downtown Houston with free parking - Decent relationships with co-workers. I was able to relate and build good relationships with those co-workers that had the same outlook as I did and identified MMI's strengths and weaknesses. - Overall, I liked my clients and the account work.

Minpunten

- There isn't enough transparency among all levels of leadership/management. MMI is having somewhat of an identity crisis and seems to be splitting into two separate companies, yet working under the same roof. It would have been nice to be kept in the loop as to what MMI's business plan looked like for 2016 and forward, but usually I heard this information and any changes in direction through the grapevine. - There is clear favoritism at MMI. It's apparent who the leadership team would like to see succeed and move forward at MMI. Others are left wondering what lies ahead and what their future may look like at the company. - MMI underpays their employees. There is not enough recognition and compensation for good work. - Too many employees are too young and inexperienced. - MMI tends to over-promise and under-deliver on client projects. There is an unrealistic expectation set with the clients that causes unneeded pressure among internal teams. MMI needs to set realistic timelines, deadlines and budgets with their clients. - Unlike the majority of the other reviews written by interns in 2016, I was a full-time employee for 4 years. Please note how the interns rated MMI five stars versus actual full-time employees. It's also suspect that these five-star reviews conveniently happened before layoffs started.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I can guarantee it will not fall on deaf ears. We take all employee reviews seriously, as it helps us improve the overall experience for other MMIers. Many of the issues you have outlined are a direct reflection of the speed in which we as an agency move on a day-to-day basis. In addition to normal agency speed, MMI is in a current state of exciting growth. In the fast-paced environment in which we operate, communication is key. As an agency, we have quarterly companywide meetings to update the team on our direction. Additionally, two of our top five goals in 2016 are the overall improvement of company processes and an updated internal communications plan. Based on your feedback, accomplishing these two goals is even more important than ever. Again, thank you for your feedback as we constantly strive to improve. Thank you, Benjamin Spiegel, CEO
