I've been working at MailerLite for 6 months now, it seems like a good point to reflect on my experience now I'm settled in. My experience so far has all been very positive, starting from the beginning of the application process. I thought the application process was unique and fun. By asking applicants to create something with the platform you're going to be potentially working on going forwards, it's a good opportunity to see if it's a good fit for you. The hiring manager was very approachable, friendly and efficient and onboarding was really well planned and went super smoothly. I was able to get off of the ground running into my new role really quickly. I really enjoy my work, it provides just the right balance of challenge, it allows for some creativity and I feel like my contributions are valued. My colleagues are lovely and very competent and I feel supported by my team lead. I haven't interacted with everyone across the team yet, but everyone that I have interacted with is always really friendly and helpful.

The company does not appear very willing to pay competitively, even with relevant experience or performance improvements. - Personal growth in your role heavily depends on your team lead and the dynamics of your specific team. If you're unfortunate enough to have a passive or overly micromanaging team lead, your career development and day-to-day work experience can be significantly impacted. This lack of consistency in leadership can make it challenging to thrive and become demotivating after a while. - This is not necessarily a con, but it is worth mentioning here: Company values and company's frequent emphasis on them. While core values are essential, the constant push to reinforce them at every opportunity can feel repetitive. Sometimes they felt forced and overwhelming.
