Minpunten
Company pushing for 4 days in office, but office looks like straight from a 90’s movie with old cubicles, and very uncomfortable office chairs (my back hurts) . For such a large food company they could at least offer a subsidized cafeteria, but no… I’ve worked for CPG businesses not in the food industry that offered subsidized breakfast and lunches and/or at least free snacks. If you are going to drag people into an office for absolute no reason you could at least make it a bit easier. The work-from- home “flexibility”depends on your title and seniority. It’s 4 days/week, but if you are a manager, director or higher up you can wfh…the little guys not so much, which tells me is not really about “collaboration”, but totally about control and having “warm bodies” sitting around. Very hierarchical, old mindset kinda company. Poorly implemented systems in supply chain, but people in management only have worked at MLF and dont even know best practices or why their system is so inefficient, they are also don't seem interested in improving, it’s more like they don’t want to “rock the boat” and their goal is to keep the status quo. Not the best place to learn industry best practices or experiment with new technology or innovative ideas. Very boring same day in day out “way of working”, with virtually no one that challenges the why/how. People have been so long in the same role/company that when you challenge something they look at you like you come from outer space.
