We do not know the exact area of the business you worked in, however from your comments we believe you may have been working in our Customer Claims department. If this is the case, we are surprised that your expectations were not set correctly at interview stage as the role is phone based. Our interviewers make it very clear that the role is a customer facing one with lots of contact with customers and we are sorry if this wasn’t the case in your experience. We appreciate that there has been challenges in this area of the business over the past year, however we’re extremely proud that service levels have improved and that they are starting the new year in a positive place, which will improve the service we provide to our customers and our colleague experience.
When new colleagues join the business, we have a standard induction process which includes sharing information about the Markerstudy Group so our colleagues feel a sense of belonging to the wider business. A set training programme then follows, which is business area specific. We have shared your feedback about your training to the relevant Senior Management Team for continuous improvement.
Our salaries and benefit package are regularly benchmarked in the industry and we’re very pleased that we are competitive. Our sickness policy is fully in line with legal requirements. We are very proud of our acquisitional culture and through these acquisitions, the business is able to grow which gives our colleagues more opportunity to develop and build their skills. In addition, we have looked at our end of year pay review scheme and are delighted that this year, we’ve been able to make increased pay-rises to our colleagues to assist with the cost-of-living crisis.
