Unless you have strong internal connections or play politics, expect instability — layoffs appear to be a regular cycle every one to two years. Work-life balance is nearly nonexistent. You’ll be expected to respond to calls and emails well past normal business hours, including weekends, with little appreciation for personal boundaries. The technology and tools, such as the “Mastermind” system, create more complications than solutions, adding frustration to an already stressful work environment. Overall, a truly disappointing experience in what could be a great organization if leadership valued its people as much as its profits.
