Pluspunten
For entry level engineers, there are opportunities to learn here if you can stomach the work environment and don’t mind the long hours and pressure. Having worked there though, my experience is that it is a bit like the show Project Runway, “one day you’re “IN” and the next day you’re “OUT”. Keep your head down, tow the line, don't be the nail that is sticking up and you will do fine. Oh yes, they have free bananas.
Minpunten
Upper management is hugely egotistical and arrogant. Their management style is very dictatorial and iron fisted. Senior management in engineering appears to be completely devoid of people skills. This is particularly evident in the systems group. The next level down is excellent but, sadly, they are mealy “puppets”, totally micro managed by the senior directors and VP’s. Extreme micro management from the top down is the cultural norm here making the middle manager role an extremely challenging and frustrating endeavor.
